Late Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan made an appearance at the Filmfare Awards 2021 that happened recently. The star kid accepted the trophy that was posthumously awarded to his late father. A video from the event that was shared on the internet saw Babil Khan breaking down into tears. On Instagram, Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared a picture of son Babik Khan sobbing hard during the Filmfare Awards 2021. She expressed her thoughts on Babil crying in front of everyone, it in an emotional poem.
Sutapa Sikdar penned a poem dedicating it to son Babil, in her post’s caption. She wrote in Hindi, “Mera beta, bada kadak launda hai woh, chup chap ke nahi sabke saamne char char rota hain woh, bada kadak launda hai.” She added, “Baap ke yaadon mein samethta hain naazuk unglion se, bikharte hain unke khushboo ki tarah, sahajta haim unhe band dairy mein.” Sutapa continued, “Bada sakht launda hain woh, apni maa ko gale lagake keh paata hai.” Sikdar added, “पूरी ज़िंदगी तू घना पेड़ थी हम सब के लिए’ अब उड़ माँ पंख फैलाए होश गवाएँ” Moving on, in the poem, Sutapa spoke about how Babil cries the whole night, remembering his late father. She mentioned that the young Khan does not mention he cried but his swollen eyes reveal it all. The mother in Sutapa expressed how she hopes her son shares how he cried the whole night and not that he hasn’t slept. Sikdar concluded by thanking the almighty that her son can express his sadness. She wrote, “बहुत बहुत सख्त होना पढ़ता है नरम दिखने के लिए, बड़ा शख़्त लौंडा है यह”
